眼感染症に対するKanamycinの効果について

Effect of Kanamycin on the eye diseases

　1955年梅沢等により発見されたKanamycin（以下KM）は多くのグラム陽性，陰性及び抗酸菌に対して強力な抗菌力を有し，臨床的にも諸種感染症に対しすぐれた効果の得られることが報告されている。

　本剤の特長の1つは抗結核剤としSM,INH，PAS等従来の抗結核剤耐性結核菌にも有効で，且つSMアレルギーの症例にも安全に使用されるという点であり，他は近年注目される抗生剤耐性ブドウ球菌（以下ブ菌）感染症に対する応用である。私共は既に眼結核に対し本剤はPASとの2者併用およびThiasin,INN等との3者併用によりすぐれた効果を現わすことを報告したし，又本剤は水に易溶且つ無刺激で安定性の点から点眼水とし又眼軟膏として用いてもみるべき効果の挙げられることを報告した。

The results of bacteriological and clinicalexperiments concerning ophthalmie use of KM were summerized as follows.

1) The minimum growth inhibiting conce-ntrations of KM were 10~>100mcg/cc for K -W bacillus. 1,25~2.5mcg/cc for M-A bacill-us, 10~80mcg/cc for pneumococcus, 1.25~5 mcg/cc for Corynebacterium diphtheriae, 40mcg/cc for gonococcus, 10~>100mcg/cc for streptococcus, 5~40mcg/cc for staphylococcus and>100mcg/cc for pyocyaneus.

2) The sensitivity for 100 strains of micr-ococcus pyogenes was examined. 98% of 100 strains were sensitive in> 5mcg/cc, 44% in 2.5 mcg/cc and no resistant strains appeared.
