The authors reported two cases of Arachnoiditis optochiasmatica acuta, with chocked discs which were suggested brain tumors at the region of chiasma by the cerebroangiography and pneumoencepharography. As a result of craniotomy in each cases, there was no tumor but the arachnoiditis at the region of optochiasma. It was very effective to detach the adhesion and to remove the membrance.

After the operation their visual acuity became nomal, their visual fields were enlarged, and their central scotoms disappeared.
