Abstract. Purpose:To report an infant of phakomatosis pigmentovascularis type V associated with early-inset developmental glaucoma. Case:A 5-month-old male infant was referred to us after diagnosis with phakomatosis pigmentovascularis type V. He had simple angioma in the face with pigment patches and cutis marmorata over the body. Findings:Both eyes showed corneal diameter of 13 mm and enlarged optic disc with excavation. The findings led to the diagnosis of developmental glaucoma. Both eyes received trabeculectomy. Hyperpigmentation was present in the canal of Schlemm and sclera. The left eye received trabeculectomy for elevated intraocular pressure 2 years later. More pronounced pigmentation was present in the canal of Schlemm and sclera. Both eyes are doing well at the age of 4 years 7 months. Conclusion:Pigmentation in the canal of Schlemm may have induced progression of glaucoma in the present case.
