緑内障患者のdriving performanceにおけるvisual field indexとquality of visionの関連

Relation of visual field index and quality of vision with driving performance of glaucoma patients

要約　目的：緑内障患者の自覚的運転能力と，視野と視覚の質との関連の報告。対象と方法：自動車を日常的に運転し，通院中の緑内障患者36名を対象とした。男性25名，女性11名で，年齢は41～86歳，平均61歳である。運転能力はアンケート，視野はHumphrey視野計のVFI，視覚の質はNEIのVFQ-25で評価した。左右眼の視野に差があるときには，VFIが良好な眼の値を採用した。結果：運転能力とVFIには有意の相関があり（r＝－0.40，p＜0.05），日中よりも薄暮と夜間の相関が有意に高値であった（ともにp＜0.001）。運転能力の総得点と視覚の質は有意に相関し（r＝－0.49，p＜0.01），遠見視力，周辺視力，運転とも相関した。結論：緑内障患者の自覚的運転能力は優位眼のVFIと関連がある。アンケートとVFIは本研究に有用であった。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report the visual field index and quality of vision as related to driving performance of glaucoma patients. Cases and Method：This study was made on 36 glaucoma patients who routinely drove automobiles. The series comprised 25 males and 11 females. The age ranged from 41 to 86 years,average 61 years. Driving performance was evaluated by questionnaire,visual field by VFI of Humphrey perimeter,and quality of vision by VFQ-25 of National Eye Institute. The value in the better eye with higher VFI was used in the evaluation. Results：Driving performance was significantly correlated with VFI（r＝－0.40,p＜0.05）. The correlation was higher in the twilight（p＜0.001）and at night（p＜0.001）. Total score of driving performance was significantly correlated with quality of vision（r＝－0.49,p＜0.01）,distant visual acuity,peripheral vision,and driving. Conclusion：Subjectively evaluated driving performance of glaucoma patients is significantly correlated with VFI in the better eye.
