Abstract. Purpose:To compare Goldmann perimetry and Colenbrander grid test based on Humphrey perimeter incorporating visual field score by American Medical Association. Cases and Method:Forty-four patients were tested for visual field using GoldmannⅢ4e and Colenbrander grid test. The series comprised glaucoma 14 cases, diabetic retinopathy after photocoagulation 12 cases, hemianopia 6 cases,age-related macular degeneration 5 cases, and retinitis pigmentosa 4 cases among others. Results:There were significant correlations among static and kinetic visual field score(VFS),functional field score(FFS)and functional vision score(FVS)(p<0.001). Thirty-three patients in the series(75%)were assigned to the same FVS class. It took an average of 779±186 seconds to complete the measurements. Conclusion:FFS showed a high correlation between kinetic and static methods. Colenbrander grid test was useful to evaluate visual field defects.
