Abstract. Purpose:To report the outcome of LASIK using corneal flap made with 60 or 150 kHz femtosecond laser. Cases and Method:This study was made on 80 eyes of 40 cases who received LASIK in the past 16 months. Forty eyes of 20 cases were operated with 60 kHz and the other 40 eyes with 150 kHz laser. Results:Corneal flap was created after 25.2±0.8 seconds during LASIK with 60 kHz laser and 16.0±0.9 seconds with 150 kHz laser. The difference was significant. There were no differences regarding visual acuity with or without correction, accuracy of correction, refraction, contrast sensitivity,or thickness of corneal flap. Complication was absent throughout. Conclusion:There was no difference in the outcome of LASIK using 60 or 150 kHz femtosecond laser except shorter duration in creating the corneal flap using the latter.
