Abstract. Purpose:To report the one-year outcome of intravitreal injection of bevacizumab for choroidal neovascularization in myopic eyes. Cases and Method:This retrospective study was made on 18 eyes of 18 patients who received intravitreal injection of bevacizumab for myopic choroidal neovascularization. The series comprised 8 males and 10 females. The age ranged from 35 to 82 years, average 57 years. The cases evaluated for visual acuity and central retinal thickness one year after treatment. Results:Bevacizumab was injected for an average of 2.2 times. Visual acuity and central retinal thickness significantly improved one year after surgery(p<0.01). Improvement of visual acuity was greater in 7 eyes less than 50 years of age than the other 11 eyes. There was no ocular or systemic complication throughout the study. Conclusion:Visual acuity improved and central retinal thickness decreased one year after intravitreal injection of bevacizumab for choroidal neovascularization in myopic eyes.
