防腐剤を含まない塩酸カルテオロール点眼薬（ブロキレート®PF点眼液）の検討

要約　背景：角膜上皮を保護する目的で，防腐剤を含まない緑内障点眼薬が発売されている。目的：2％塩酸カルテオロールを主成分とするブロキレート^®PF点眼薬の臨床的な評価。対象と方法：通院中の緑内障患者19例33眼を対象とした。男性10眼，女性23眼で，年齢は平均63.4±12.5歳であった。全例をブロキレート^®PF点眼薬に変更し，1年以上の経過を追った。変更の理由は，ドライアイ16眼，薬剤性角膜障害12眼，対側眼の変更に伴うもの5眼である。結果：点眼変更後1か月で8眼（24％）の角膜障害が改善した。眼圧コントロールが不良なため6眼で他の薬剤に切り替えた。結論：緑内障の治療では，複数の点眼薬を長期間使用することが多い。この意味で，防腐剤を含まない点眼薬を使う意義がある。

Abstract.　Background：Preservative-free ophthalmic solutions are available in order to protect the corneal epithelium. Purpose：To clinically evaluate Brokyleate^®PF that contains 2％ carteolol hydrochloride. Cases and Method：This study was made on 33 eyes of 19 glaucoma patients receiving treatment by us. The series comprised 10 male and 23 female eyes. The age averaged 63.4±12.5 years. Treatment in all the cases was switched to Brokyleate^®PF ophthalmic solution. Switching was necessitated due to dry eye 16 eyes,drug-induced keratopathy 12 eyes,and change in treatment in the fellow 5 eyes. Cases were followed up for one year or longer. Results：Keratopathy improved in 8 eyes（24％）one month after switching. Medication had to be discontinued due to insufficient hypotensive effect. Conclusion：Glaucoma patients may need treatment with multiple topical medications over a prolonged period. Preservative-free ophthalmic solution promises to be of value in this regard.
