Abstract. Purpose:To report findings by optical coherence tomography(OCT)in a case before and after treatment for recurrence of toxoplasmic chorioretinitis. Case:A 17-year-old female noticed central scotoma in the right eye 4 days before. Findings:Corrected visual acuity was 1.0 right and 1.5 left. The right eye showed pigmented retinochoroidal scar and retinal exudation temporal to the macula. OCT showed increased thickness in the area of retinal exudation and high reflective vitreous opacities anterior to the hypofluorescent area by indocyanine green angiography. She was diagnosed with recurrence of congenital ocular toxoplasmosis. Subjective symptoms subsided after 4 weeks of peroral acetylspiramycin. OCT showed flattening of exudation area with the retina attenuated superior to the macula corresponding to hypofluorescent area. Conclusion:OCT showed pathological lesion to be wider than retinal exudation. OCT promises to be of value in the diagnosis and follow up of ocular toxoplasmosis.
