Abstract. Purpose:To report changes in visual field in eyes with juxtapapillary hemorrhage. Cases and Method:This retrospective study was made on 13 eyes of 13 cases with juxtapapillary hemorrhage. The series comprised 4 males and 9 females. The age ranged from 52 to 81 years, average 68 years. Six cases received steroidal or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Seven cases received no treatment. Retinal sensitivity was measured using a microperimeter(MP-1,Nidek). Results:In nontreated group, retinal sensitivity rose spontaneously in 5 eyes, remained unchanged in one,and deteriorated in one. In treated group,4 eyes had multiple hemorrhages. Retinal sensitivity was low from the beginning in the majority of cases. It rose in one eye, remained in one,and deteriorated in 3. Conclusion:Course of retinal sensitivity may be variable among individuals and is independent on the use of anti-inflammatory drugs.
