Abstract. Purpose:To report a presumed case of ocular toxocariasis with shifting of affected site in the fundus. Case:A 67-year-old woman presented with seeing floaters in her left eye since 5 weeks before. She had been living with a cat and dog for years. Findings:Her corrected visual acuity was 1.5 in either eye. Her left fundus showed an exudative focus temporal-superior to the fovea. The serum was positive for syphilis and negative for toxoplasma antibody. The exudative fucus had moved 2 weeks later leaving an atrophic lesion behind. Optical coherence tomographjy(OCT)showed a dome-shaped elevation. The focus had moved further 8 weeks later and was treated by two sessions of photocoagulation. The focus protruded forward during the following 7 months to finally flatten another 15 months later. Conclusion:The findings and clinical course were strongly suggestive of ocular toxocariasis. OCT was useful in the follow-up and diagnosis.
