Accommodation training for presbyopia. Part 8. Four cases with remarkable changes in the amplitude of accommodation

要約　目的：調節訓練の比較対照試験のための経過観察中に調節力が大きく変動した症例の報告。症例：調節訓練の比較対照試験に参加している77例中の4例。いずれも女性で，年齢は40，42，45，48歳である。結果：いずれも初回検査から1年以内に調節力が1D以上増加したようにみえたが，自覚症状には変化がなかった。これら4例では本来の調節力測定ができていないと判断した。結論：経過観察中に調節力が大きく変動する症例があり，比較対照試験から除外した。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report four cases with remarkable changes in the amplitude of accommodation during observation for case control study of accommodation training. Cases：This report concerns 4 out of 77 patients who were participating in the case control study. All were females aged 40, 42, 45 and 48 years respectively. Results：Each of 4 cases showed increased accommodation by 1 diopter or greater during 1 year of observation. They showed, however, no changes in subjective findings. It was concluded that the observed changes in accommodation were apparent and not real. Conclusion：There are cases that show apparent but not real changes in the power of accommodation. There for these cases were excluded from the case control study.
