Abstract. Purpose:To report changes in anterior chamber depth and position of crystalline lens after intillation of mydriatic-cycloplegics. Cases and Method:This study was made on 9 eyes of 5 healthy persons. Their age ranged from 23 to 34 years, average 28 years. Anterior chamber depth and lens position were measured during accommodation 45 minutes after instillation of cyclopentolate hydrochloride or 30 minutes after tropicamide. AC Master®was used in the measurement. Results:There was no difference in anterior chamber depth or lens position after instillation of either cycloplegics. Accommodation-induced changes in anterior chamber depth or lens position were greater in eyes receiving tropicamide. Conclusion:Differences in the effect of cycloplegics can be measured with accommodation-induced changes in anterior chamber depth and lens position as parameters.
