Abstract. We reviewed 83 eyes of 64 patients who received trabeculotomy combined with sinusotomy for primary open-angle glaucoma during 6 years through 1996 and who could be followed up for 5 years or longer. The age at surgery averaged 57±12.3 years. The follow-up period averaged 7.2±1.5 years. The intraocular pressure averaged 23.6±4.6mmHg before surgery and 15.4±2.4mmHg 5 years after surgery. The difference was significant(p<0.001). By acturial life table method, the success rate below 20 mmHg was 0.68±0.05. The findings show that the current surgical modality is clinically useful in inducing prolonged control of intraocular pressure.
