Abstract. A 53-year-old man was referred to us for blurring of his left eye since a few days before. He had been under treatment for uveitis in the past 6 years. His corrected visual acuity was 1.0 right and 0.8 left. Both eyes had myopia of about-4.5 diopters. His left eye showed findings of iritis, vitreous opacity, and atrophic pigmented lesions in the peripheral fundus. Fluorescein angiography showed findings of retinal phlebitis. Three months later, the left visual acuity decreased to 0.06 associated with increase of vitreous opacity and an exudative patch nasal to the fovea. Fluorescein angiography showed delayed dye inflow into superior-temporal and superior-nasal retinal arteries. These findings led to the diagnosis of suspected ocular toxoplasmosis. Systemic clindamycin and corticosteroid induced regression of ocular lesions and improvement of visual acuity to 0.3. Visual field defect persisted corresponding to branch retinal artery occlusions.
