翼状片組織におけるヒアルロン酸合成酵素の発現について

要約　翼状片2眼から切除した組織を，ヒアルロン酸，ヒアルロン酸合成酵素，CD44について検索した。患者は70歳と76歳の女性である。ヒアルロン酸は細胞外マトリックスの構成要素であり，組織の立体構造の維持に関与する。これはヒアルロン酸合成酵素によって産出され，CD44はそのレセプターである。これら3者は，細胞の移動や増殖などの生物学的プロセスに関与している。ヒアルロン酸の定量にはELISAを用い，ヒアルロン酸合成酵素2とCD44の発現はRT-PCR法で確認した。1検体から1.0μg/mlのヒアルロン酸が検出され，両検体からヒアルロン酸合成酵素2とCD44の発現が認められた。以上の結果は，翼状片組織にはヒアルロン酸，ヒアルロン酸合成酵素，CD44が存在することと，これら3者からなる系が翼状片の病態に関与する可能性を示している。

Abstract.　We studied tissues from 2 eyes of pterygium regarding hyaluronan,hyaluronic synthases,and CD44. Tissues were surgically obtained from females aged 70 and 76 years. Hyaluronan is a composite of extracellular matrix and is involved in maintaining the three-dimensional tissue structure. It is produced by hyaluronic synthases with CD44 acting as the receptor. These three substances are involved in various biological processes including cell migration and proliferation. Hyaluronan was quantitated using an ELISA. Expression of hyaluronic synthase 2 and CD44 was evaluated by RT-PCR method. One specimen contained 1.0μg/ml of hyaluronan. Both specimens showed expression of hyaluronic synthase 2 and CD44. These findings show that pterygium contains the three substances and that the system composed of them is involved in the pathogenesis of pterygium.
