Dr. Poppen!
It is a great pleasure and privilege for me to have an opportunity to discuss to your lecture. I am sure all of us have been greatly impressed by your excellent review of 105 cases of intracranial arteriovenous malformations.
In our Kyoto University Hospital, we have treated 79 cases of intracranial arteriovenous malformations in the past 9 years. The indications, the methods and the results of surgical treatment are almost the same as those reported by you. In your lecture, you put stress on an interesting observation that subarachnoid or cerebral hemorrhages occurred in much greater proportion in patients with the smaller mallformations than those with large lesions.
