  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

The human lid flutter was recorded by me-ans of crystal pickup and EEG machine and analysed with automatic frequency analyser, which has seven frequency bands such as 6-7, 7-8, 8-9, 9-10, 10-11, 11-12 and 12-13c/s.

The fine lid flutter (vibration) with both eyes closed has irregular and fast rtythms.

The analyser write-out shows the highest deflection at the band of 11-12c/s.

Intermittent photic stimulation was applied at the frequency of 6.5, 7.5 8.5 9.5, 10.5, 11.5 and 12.5c/s for ten seconds respectively.

The lid flutter has the tendency to synchro-nize with the flickered light frequency.

It was discussed that such photically acti-vated palpebral response may be a good indi-cator demonstrating the functional level of the mesencephalic and rhombencephalic reti-cular neurone.
