  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

The authors studied the effects of Kidola (Chloroquine diorotate ) on 54 epileptic pati-ents including incurable cases with 79 seizure types In all cases, Kidola was administered in addition to other antiepileptic agents which had been continuously given. Remarkable effects or improvements were observed par-ticularly in petit mal seizures and also observ-ed in grand mals in a little less numbers.

No remarked side reactions were observed except gastrointestial disorders such as nau-sea and vomiting in a few cases. No ill-results were also noticed for long-term admi-nistrations of Kidola.

The authors accordingly feel that Kidola is useful enough when supplementarily, adminis-tered with various antiepileptic agents which have been used effectively.
