脳内原発性細網肉腫ははなはだ稀なものであるが,最近本教室において1手術例を経験したので報告する。
症例:39歳,♂
A case of primary intracranial reticulosar-coma is reported.
A 31 year-old man had complained of left temporal headache, vomiting, vertigo, disturb-ance of speech and disturbance of conscious-ness since about 2 months before admission, and these symptomes increased gradually.
He was admitted with a diagnosis of a brain tumor of the left deep temporal region which was ascertained by the neurological findings, ultrasonic examination and cranio-arteriography. The left temporal craniotomy was performed, and solid tumor in the left temporal lobe. measuring 4×5×6 cm in the size, was extirpated. The pathological stu-dies revealed a reticulosarcoma.
In this case, no suspicious primary growth was recognized in any part of the body.
The patient has been well in general con-dition until 14 months after operation and no aggravation has been recognized.
The author concluded that it may develope from the reticuloendothelial cells around the blood vessels in brain substance since no relations were recognized between the tumor and the meningen.
