Primitive Trigeminal Artery （Carotid-Basilar Anastomosis）の一症例について

A CASE OF PRIMITIVE TRIGEMINAL ARTERY (PERSISTENT CAROTID-BASILAR ANASTOMOSIS)

緒言

　Primitive Trigeminal Arteryとは，A．　carotis internaとA．　basilarisとの間に存在する比較的稀な奇型であり，Carotid-basilarAnastomosisといわれているものである。

　この奇型は，1844年にQuainが剖見によつてその存在を最初に発表し，それ以来1950年までに死体解剖によつてその存在をみいだされた18例が報告されている。

A case of primitive trigeminal artery is presented arteriographically, which was ten-tatively diagnosed as a cerebral and spinal arachnoiditis, or suspected as a cerebral meta-stasis of malignant tumor.

(1) No pathological relationship between clinical sign of this case and cerebral arterial malformation is observed.

(2) No characteristic clinical and pathologi-cal significances of the malformation are ob-served.
