Chlordiazepoxideの使用経験

CLINICAL EXPERIENCES WITH CHLORDIAZEPOXIDE (BALANCE)

I．緒言

　従来，広義にTranquilizerと呼ばれる向精神剤にはかなり多岐に亘るものが含まれているが，その混乱を招来するに値する新薬の簇出にも拘らず，我々が実際に診療上使用し得る薬剤は少数のものに限られ，殊にその副作用の問題などから神経症の治療に導入するに恰好なものは少なかつたといつても過言ではない。

　Chlordiazepoxideについては，既に1年有余前より欧米において使用せられ，1960年度のProgress in Neurology and Psychiatryの薬物療法欄^1）にも同剤が神経症並びに激越性鬱病に有効であり，筋弛緩作用を有し，強力な抗痙攣作用をもら，食思増進作用があり，恐怖症や強迫症においても捉われない態度を生ずる旨の記載がある。我国においても最近，本剤が試用せられ，その臨床経験についても報じられ始めているが^5-9），我々も本年3月以来，山之内製薬株式会社の好意により同剤であるBalanceの提供により，その試用の機会を得，若干の知見を得たので此処に報告する。それは本剤が精神神経科の治療に導入するに一つの恰好な薬剤と認め得る経験をもつたからである。

This is a preliminary clinical report with Chlordiazepoxide (Balance) by the 50 out-pa-tients (Neuroses 33, Depressions 9, Epilepsy 2, Migraine 2, Schizophrenia 3, Psychopathic personality 1).

As a whole, good and very good results were obtained at 88% of the cases, others were stationary, even with 30mgr. of the drug daily almost simplely applicated. Even though these small dosages, anxiety and ten-sion were favorably improved ; especially effective and significant among fresh neuro-tic-anxious state and maladjustment of epile-ptoids. The symptomes of Depressions such as anxiety, hypochondria and sleeplessness were also favorably influenced.

The techniques of the treatment were ra-ther easy almost without side-effects.

Conclusively according to its effectiveness and easiness of application, the drug may find durative and wide utilizations.
