  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

According to the next 4 viewpoints, 3,000 EEE cases, who were recorded in our clinic during the perioid of past 5 years, were sta-tistically analyzed.

1) Comparison of homologous tracings (Aird's method)

2) Localized abnormalities (Spike, slow wave etc.)

3) Lazy wave (Shimizu)

4) Phase reversal (Principle of Walter's me- thod).

Concerning 100 cases of intracranial lesions, localization and pathological findings of which were certified by operation or autopsy, their localization by EEG was studied. 91% of them were correctly localized by EEG. Among them 98.2% of 56 cases of supratentorial tumors were correctly diagnosed.

The preoperative EEG, EEG during operation and postoperative EEG were followed up.

During operation, the depth localization of the organic change of the brain could be re-cognized by depth EEG recording.

In postoperative EEG recording, those cases, whose lesions were radically removed, showed marked EEG improvement as well as clinical amelioration.

In order to demonstrate the foregoing 4 viewponts, animal experiments (Cat) were performed.
