左心房内粘液腫—特に，UCGおよびACG所見について

Left Atrial Myxoma--eps. On findings of UCG and ACG

　粘液腫は原発性心臓腫瘍の約50％^1）を占める。その手術成功例も，既に100例^2）3）5）をこえ，決して稀な疾患ではない。その発生部位は，Thomasら^4）によれば，約75％が左心房内で，残りの大部分は右心房内である。両側心房に発生した症例^5）6）や，右心室，左心室に発生した症例^3）も稀ではあるが報告されている。

　発生頻度の最も高い左心房粘液腫は，放置すれば，腫瘍による僧帽弁口の狭窄，あるいは，閉塞，進行性心不全，腫瘍片の脱落または，腫瘍表面に付着した血栓の遊離による塞栓症のため，致命的な転帰を招来する。これの救命手段は早期の手術的摘出以外に考えられない。

Usefullness of the ultrasound cardiography (UCG) and the angiocardiography (ACG) in the diagnosis of the left atrial myxoma was discribed on the basis of the auther's experience of five clinical cases.

Accurate diagnosis of the existence of the myxoma was made by UCG and confirmed at operation.

The ultrasound technique itself is a painless and non-invasive study which can be performed easily and speedily.
