Studies on the Pulmonary Functions in Patients with Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases

　Ventilatory function and intrapulmonary gas distribution were measured in patients with pulmonary emphysema, bronchial asth-ma, chronic bronchitis and normal subjects. The grade of intrapulmonary gas distribution were compared with those three obstruc-tive pulmonary diseases.

　In general, the intrapulmonary gas distri-bution was markedly impaired in pulmonary emphysema, moderately impaired in bronchi-al asthma and very slightly impaired in chronic bronchitis.
