Three cases of atypical coarctation with the stenosis of aortic arch or its branches were described, one of which, as the result of operation, was revealed to be of con-genital origin as far as the abdominal aorta and renal arteries were concerned.
The relationship between the two condi-tions, which apparently seem to be inde-pendent, were studied on reference of literatures. When the atypical coarctation of aorta and stenosis of aortic arch or its branches coexist, they may be ascribed to one common cause, namely, either non-specific arteritis (pulseless disease) or con-genital vascular anomaly.
