We retrospectively analyzed clinical features and gastric lesions in patients with GI(gastrointestinal)polyposis syndromes including FAP(familial adenomatous polyposis), MAP(MUTYH-associated polyposis), PJS(Peutz-Jeghers syndrome), JP(juvenile polyposis), Cowden disease, Cronkhite-Canada syndrome, and FFGP(familial fundic gland polyposis), a recently proposed entity. Among all 175patients, gastric lesions were found in 131patients(75%). In addition, gastric cancers were found in FAP, MAP, PJS, JP, and FFGP. These findings suggest that gastric lesions are frequent in patients with GI polyposis syndromes and that they are diagnostic of each disease. In addition, it was suggested that FAP, MAP, PJS, JP and FFGP are disorders prone to the development of gastric cancer.
