  • Look Inside

A 6 year-boy was referred to our hospital because of melena. Barium enema examination disclosed a polypoid lesion in the descending colon. Polypectomy was performed. Microscopic examination revealed signetring cells extending to the submucosal layer (Ⅰp type). Subsequently, he underwent left hemicolectomy (R3). A metastatic lesion was detected in one of epiploic lymph nodes (H0, P0, sm, ly1(+), v0, n1(+), StageⅢ, Dukes C Stage). He has had no recurrence in the 7 years since operation.
