  • Look Inside

In 1980's, DNA could be extracted from paraffin-embedded sections and PCR (polymerase chain reaction) methods contributed to the advances in molecular pathology. In this literature, we reviewed the recent reports on molecular pathology about colorectal tumor, and discussed the problems of modern molecular pathology and classical morphopathology. Molecular pathology used together with morphopathology can be a useful tool for evaluating the malignant potential and the prognosis of colorectal tumors.
