The magnified view of gastric mucosa changes according to development of gastritis. These magnified views are expressed in A-B classification. Magnified view of H. pylori-negative normal mucosa of the corpus consisted of collecting venules, the network of true capillaries and pinhole-pits(Type B-0). Magnified views of gastritis of the corpus are divided into three types : type B-1 consists of round pits and a network of capillaries, type B-2 consists of oval pits and sulci and B-3 consists of dilated oval pits and sulci. Atrophic mucosa and pyloric mucosa of H. pylori-induced gastritis are divided into two types : type A-1 consists of tubular and scale-like pattern and type A-2 consists of villi and granular pattern.
