要旨　鳥肌状胃炎はH. pylori（Helicobacter pylori）感染により生じる胃炎の1つで，小児や若年者に頻度が高い．以前は，鳥肌状胃炎は若年女性によく認められる生理的現象と理解されていたが，鳥肌状胃炎の胃粘膜にはH. pylori感染により引き起こされた組織学的炎症があり，炎症は高率に胃体部粘膜にも存在する．鳥肌状胃炎は胃体部に発生する未分化型胃癌を伴う頻度が高く，胃癌発生の高リスクファクターである．

　Nodular gastritis is a particular type of gastritis caused by Helicobacter pylori（H. pylori）infection. In general the prevalence of nodular gastritis is high in children and young adults. Although it was considered a physiological phenomenon particular to young women, nodular gastritis is now defined as antral gastritis caused by H. pylori infection and accompanied by mucosal inflammation in the corpus mucosa. Nodular gastritis is strongly associated with diffuse-type gastric cancer of the corpus in young patients.
