Malabsorption Syndrome

要旨　吸収不良症候群は，消化吸収機能の低下により種々の栄養障害を来す疾患の総称である．診断には各種の消化吸収試験が用いられるが，小腸内視鏡の進歩により小腸病変を直接精査することも可能となった．

　Malabsorption syndrome includes various pathological states of malnutrition associated with digestive and absorptive failure. Dysfunction of the exocrine pancreas and maldigestion in the intestine are major pathological factors. Recent advances in enteroscopy, as well as the classical absorption test, have contributed to the diagnosis of malabsorption syndrome.
