Wireless capsule endoscopy (CE) is a swallowable new diagnostic tool for the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. PillCamTM SB (GIVEN Imaging, Israel) is widely used throughout the world and its most suitable indication is obscure GI bleeding. CE detects angiodysplasia (most frequent), Crohn's disease, polyp, tumor and mucosal injury caused by NSAIDs in the small intestine. The combination of PillCamTM SB and double balloon endoscopy could contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of small intestinal bleeding.
