・生下時より舌に色素斑を認めた症例を経験した．

・臨床所見および経過よりcongenital melanotic macules of the tongue（CMMT）を強く疑った．

・悪性化の可能性も念頭に置き，定期的な外来通院で経過観察としている．

A case of suspected congenital melanotic macules of the tongue

A newborn developed multiple black-brown macules on the right side of the dorsal tongue and was referred to our department. The tongue surface was smooth and the boundary clear. Pigment was evident only on the tongue. Direct microscopic examination was negative. Up to the age of 4 years, the lesions increased a little in size and became slightly brighter. The patient was asymptomatic. Although biopsy has not been performed, given the patient’s age, the clinical signs and course imply congenital melanotic macules of the tongue. Outpatient follow-up is continuing.
