- Abstract 文献概要
日本麻酔学会（当時）が誕生したのは1954年5月2日のことであった。そして，第1回日本麻酔学会学術会議が同年10月22日東京都豊島公会堂において開催された。当時の会員数は700名，評議員数は39名，そして，本「麻酔」誌が学会準機関紙となった。
After the Japanese Society of Anesthesiologists was founded in 1954, many related societies which are introduced in this special feature article were also established in Japan. These articles may help young anesthesiologists make the appropriate choice among the various subspecialities of anesthesiology. A wide variety of topics are introduced and summarized, including current issues, technological challenges, and future tasks. We hope that this collection of articles provides a solid foundation for the new generation of anesthesiologists who will bring the field of anesthesiology in Japan to new achievements.
