Introduction
It is my pleasure and honor to be invited here today and to have the opportunity to exchange with you some aspects of growth and development of nephrology nursing and to discuss with you future trends in our profession.
Much have been written in recent years about the history of nephrology and dialysis treatment, but the literature about nephrology nursing is scarce.
Nevertheless, it is exciting and interesting to analyze how nurses have adapted themselves to the enormous evolution and revolution of medicine and technology made during the last decade.
