単一有髄神経線維の活動電位の新しい導出法について

New recording method of the action potential of single myelinated nerve fiber

　有髄神経線維の活動電位の測定には従来次のような三つの方法がとられてきた。（1）単一神経線維の活動電流を低抵抗の短絡を通して測定し，短絡抵抗と神経線維の抵抗より活動電位を推定する。（2）Huxley and Stämpfli^1）は活動電位を打消すに必要な矩形波の電圧より測定している。しかし以上二つの方法は誤差が多い。活動電位の絶対値の測定とともに真の形を記録しながら種々の実験を行うことはより望ましい。それで，（3）現在色々の組織で行はれている超微少電極による細胞内誘導が，Woodbury^2），Tasaki^3）及びCoraboeuf^4）等により，有髄線維に応用されている。しかしこの方法では数分にして電極による傷害が現れ活動電位の形が変化してきて，時間のかかる実験には適さない。

　Tasaki and Frank^5）はさらに新しい方法で活動電位を測定している。その原理を第1図で示す。Bのラ氏絞輪N₁で興奮がおこると活動電流はN₁より，軸索，N₂，髄鞘部の外側を通つてN₁に帰る。Aでこれの等価回路をしめしたが髄鞘部の外側の抵抗R₀で生ずる電圧降下分を増幅記録する。ここで髄鞘部が空気中で充分乾燥し，R₀が軸索の抵抗R_iに比していくらでも大きくなれば，それだけ記録される電位はN₁の活動電位の絶対値にいくらでも近ずく。

　The action potential of the single myelinated nerve fiber was recorded by the new method reported by I. Tasaki & K. Frank. The preamplifier was of the type of the "current dividing characteristics," of which the detailed explanation was reported by T. Sakurai et all. The input time constant was less than 20 μsec for the electrode and the single nerve fiber having a resistance of about 100 MΩ. The internodal resistance was 60-100 MΩ. The longer the time constant, the more deformed the action potential and the longer duration and the smaller the amplitude.
