新人技師：私，英語で学会発表をしなければなりません．人前で英語発表するのはこれが初めてです．今，その準備をしているところですが，演説そのものについてはもう準備が終わりました．英会話の先生に，私のために演説のテープを作ってもらうよう頼みました．先生は，二，三の専門用語について発音を確認するために辞書を調べました．私はそのテープを聞いて，演説の練習をしています．これから，演説の後の質問時間のために何か準備したいと思っています．演説の時間は10分で，質問の時間は5分です．私はこの5分間がとても恐ろしいのです．何を聞いてきているのか，わからなかったらどうしよう？
Junior technologist:I have to give a speech in English at a congress. This is my first time to speak in public in English. I'm preparing for it now, and have already finished the speech itself. I asked my English conversation teacher to make a tape of it for me. He looked up① a few of the technical terms to check their pronunciation. I'm listening to the tape and practicing the speech. Now, I want to do something to prepare for the question period after the speech. The time for the speech is 10minutes, and there are five minutes for questions. I'm terrified about these five minutes. What if② I can't understand what the questions are about?
