I．はじめに

　本邦における嗅覚検査はT＆T olfactometerを用いて検知閾値と認知閾値によって判定している。しかしながら認知閾値の測定には種々の問題点があり，われわれはこれらを解決するために判別閾値を提案し嗅覚正常者に試行した結果，認知閾値の評価の困難な場合には判別閾値によって代用できる可能性があることを報告^1,2）した。そこで今回は嗅覚障害者に判別閾値を応用し若干の知見を得たので報告する。

　In twenty-six patients with various olfactory disorders the discrimination threshold besides the detection and recognition thresholds in the standard olfaction test with T T olfactometer were measured.

　The recognition threshold in the patients with central or peripheral dysosmia showed the significantly higher value than that of respiratory or combined dysosmia. The discrepancies between the detection and discrimination threshold, and between the detection and recognition thresholds were found in 3 and 11 patients, respectively.

　The measurement of the discrimination threshold is thought to be useful for confirmation of the recognition threshold in patients with the discrepancy between the detection and recognition thresholds and the substitution for the recognition threshold in patients with the difficulty to obtain the recognition threshold.
