I．はじめに

　髄膜腫は頭蓋内腫瘍の10〜15％を占めるといわれ1），脳神経外科的には稀なものではない。また増殖の程度や部位により多彩な脳神経症状を呈することも多い。われわれは最近外耳道口まで乳頭腫様の増殖を示し，しかも第8脳神経以外の神経症状を欠いていたために外耳道乳頭腫と誤った巨大な髄膜腫症例を経験したので報告する。

　Meningioma constitutes 10% to 15% of all intracranial tumors. But meningioma involving the middle ear or the external ear are presented with little neurological evidence.

　A 56-year-old female complained of left hearing loss for 6 years. Her physical examination revealed a papillomatous mass filling with the left external auditory canal. A pure tone audiogram showed a mixed deafness in the left ear. Exploratory tympanotomy was performed. Histological study of the tumor was reported as meningothelial meningioma. CT scan showed a big mass in the area of the left cerebellopontine angle.
