I．緒言

　granular cell tumor（以下GCTと略す）の報告は1845年のWeber^1）による舌の症例が嚆失とされ，その後1926年にAbrikossoff^2）が舌3症例，上口唇，下腿各1症例を記載してから約1,000例報告^3）されている。本症の好発部位は舌と皮膚であり，そのほか呼吸器，消化器，乳腺など全身至る所に発生するが喉頭のGCTは少ないとされ，Fechnerら^4）の報告によると1979年までに137例みられるのみである。

　本邦でのGCTの報告例はきわめて少なく，頭頸部領域では舌，気管支などから発生した数例にすぎない。またわが国での喉頭のGCTは1975年に山口ら^5）によって初めて報告されて以来数例を数えるのみである。

　A 50-year-old woman with granular cell tumor originated from the left aryepiglottic fold, complaining of foreign body sensation of the throat, was presented.

　Clinical examinations showed that the tumor was substantial and attached to the pharyngeal wall of the left aryepiglottic fold.

　The surgical removal was done, and it was foundthat the tumor was covered by the mucosa and the peripheral nerve penetrated the tumor. The histopathological report was 'granular cell tumor' ,

　Since the incidence of granular cell tumor of the aryepiglottic fold is very rare, a bibliographic review was made, and the histological results obtained by electro-microscopic examination and the histogenesis were briefly discussed.
