Granular Cell Tumor of the Tongue

I．緒言

　舌に発生する良性腫瘍としては，乳頭腫，血管腫，リンパ管腫，線維腫，神経鞘腫，脂肪腫などがよく知られている。一方Abrikossoff^1）により報告されたgranular cell tumorも舌を好発部位とする良性腫瘍である。本邦の報告例は他の部位を含めても100例以下で，舌のそれは20例ほどしかなくいまだ比較的まれな疾患といえる^4,7）。

　われわれは女児の舌にみられたgranular celltumorを経験したので報告し，その細胞由来について若干の文献的考察を加えた。

　A case of granular cell tumor in a 9-year-old female was reported. The patient complained of a mass in the tongue and mastication disturbance at the time of admission.

　The tumor measuring 1.5 × 1.5 × 1.Ocm was extirpated without difficulty under general anesthesia. Histopathologically, it was diagnosed as granular cell tumor of the tongue. The cytoplasm of tumor cells showed strong-positive findings for S-100 protein and NSE (PAP method). Histopathological and immunohistochemical findings strongly suggested that these tumor cells originated from nerve sheath components.

　The patient was relieved of all complaints without any recurrence at 13 months after operation.
