I．はじめに
開眼正中位で眼振方向が周期性をもつて交代する自発眼振，すなわち交代性眼振は1920年Borriesの報告にはじまり今日までに内外で比較的多くの報告がなされている。しかし今なおその原因，病態に関しては不明の点が多く，また治療方法も確立されてはいない。
われわれは周期が一定せず，種々の条件で眼振が変化し，またある種の治療により消失する交代性眼振症例と，斜視を伴つた交代性眼振症例の2例を経験したので報告する。
Two cases of nystagmus alternans studied under electronystagmography are reported.
The first case complained of vertigo and ataxia. These symptoms were treated by injections of 2% lidocaine and other therapeutic agents. Cerebellar signs were revealed by equilibrium functional tests. Our findings may support the theory that the lesion responsible for this variety nystagmus may have a cerebellar origin.
The second case was found to be affected with strabismus since the patient's infancy.
There are a number of variations in nystagmus alternans.
