　幼児の発音の誤りが，検査語音節の位置によつて違つているということを知ることは，発音の検査をするための検査語表作成に必要であるばかりでなく，構音障害の指導の参考にもなる。英語では音素別に子音だけについて検討されているが，発音の誤りは語尾にもつとも多く，語中，語頭の順になつている。わが国ではまだ検討された報告は少ないようである。

　われわれは保育園児のことばの検査を継時的に追跡してきたので，その結果から，発音の誤りと音節の位置の関係について検討した。

　In order to find whether there were any difference in the number of errors according to the position of the test syllables in words, a picturecard articulation test was carried out once a year among 179 children, whose ages ranged from 3 to 5 years. The results of three consective years were discusssed:

　1) The percentage of errors in the initial, medial and final positions of words were not significantly different in all ages.

　2) The position of the syllables in words made no significant difference in the rate of improvement in articulation.

　3) There were errors consistent in all positions and those which were inconsistent influenced by the syllable context. In the latter case it might not be altogether reliable when a sound was tested in some particular words.
