The author analyses some of the factors concerned in the vertigo symptom-complex, and offers a definition of this condition.
In his opinion, vertigo is the state in which an individual has a false perception of movement or position, is aware that the perception is false and undergoes an emotional-behavioral reaction to this experience with little or no adaptation.
