Ⅰ．緒言
耳鼻咽喉科領域でアレルギー性疾患と関係の深い一つにアレルギー性鼻炎がある。発生病理について，欧米諸国ではGrove（1951）の細菌性蛋白による粘膜下組織の局所的感作説，Silcox（1952）の細菌感染説，Davison（1953）の細菌説等が代表され，本邦で武田（1954）は動物実験によりアルサス反応，沈降反応から細菌性アレルギーが人体にも発生することを提唱している。
原因としてUrbach1）は外国性アレルゲンの中で家庭内のものを挙げ，室内塵，蒲団，毛布等を因子として推測している。
As part of the study that concerned with an investigation into the significance of the house dust in relation to nasal allergy, intrinsic nasal findings such as edematus swelling, increase of eosinophils in the nasal mucous and the way in which intradermal test will show against house dust in cases of nasal polyposis, as well as the past and family histories of allergic persons were made the object of the observation.
In the diagnosis of nasal allergy, allergic science has made a remarkable progress. Still, it is a fact that even in basic matters a theoretical agreement may not be reached on many points and, in view of such, the present writer is inclined to think that allergic studies should be undertaken with redoubled care and effort.
However, in treating nasal allergies, a study of intradermal reaction (house dust) should, perhaps, be concieved as a worth while procedure for wider popularization for a test of allergens.
