　緒言

　舌は外来の物理学的竝びに化学的刺激に遭遇する事極めて多く，随つて種々の疾患を惹起し易く，瘻々之等の刺激により新生物を発生する。

　斯くして舌は腫瘍の好発部位であり，其の種類も預る多く癌腫，肉腫の悪性腫瘍を始め，嚢腫，皮膚様嚢腫，粘液腫，腺腫，血管腫，淋巴管腫，脂肪腫，線維腫，乳嘴腫，軟骨腫，筋肉腫，畸型腫，副甲状腺肥大，舌扁桃の茸状肥大，澱粉様腫瘍等があり，殊に最も屡々遭遇するものは，悪性腫瘍就中癌腫であり良性腫瘍としては乳嘴腫，脂肪腫，線維腫，血管腫，淋巴管腫等である。

Ichihara and associates report a case of lymphangioma of the tongue that continued to recur after repeated surgical removal but, abated only after institution of irradiation therapy. The patient, a woman aged 22,was found to be affected with lymphangioma well circumscribed and cystic, situated in the mi-dline of the ventral surface of the tongue about 10mm from the tip. with the final re-moval it was bolstered with irradiation of 3500r of co 60:no recurrence is seen since institution of this treatment but the case is stillunder observation.
