　緒言

　オーヂオメーターによる聽力の表現は，通常その最低可聽閾値を以つてしているのである。これに対して疑義を挿はさまずして過ぎて来たのである。

　然し聽力が一方には言語に対する聽力が重要であると共に，閾値上に於ける聽力が実際上に重要である。この事からして純音聽力のみについても最低可聽閾のみによつては聽力を完全に表していると云い得るとは断言し得ない。換言すれば与えられた音の強さと，これを感受した音の大さとが常に平行的である時に於てのの最低可聽閾によつて聽力を表していると云い得るのである。

GOTO AND YAMADA devised a method of hearing test in which they selected a tone 20 db. above the value of threshold of hearing as a test tone and calibrated it from 0 to 90 db. Hearing test is made by obtaining the ra-nge of hearing of this test tone as broad or na-rrow as the case may be. They arrived at foll-owing conclusions: (1) A narrow range indicated changes in the organs of Corti,

(2) A normal range which was obtained by s-ubjecting a normal person to temporary des-fness for comaprison indicated 8th nerve involvements, changes in the endolymph or, changes in thd organs of Corti or the hear-ing center, and,

(3) A broad range indicated changes in the hearing center.
