錐体炎に関する業績は最近でも相次いで発表されているが，之の錐体炎と頭蓋底骨髄炎に依り生じたと思惟される2,3の興味ある症状を呈した1例に遭遇したので此処に報告する次第である．
IIDA reports that a case of multiple paralysis of cranial nerves the result of petrous pyramid infections, in a man aged 70, made exceedingly poor response to treatments with penicillin and streptomycin though they were used in large amo-unts. Bacterial agent involved in the infection was found to he the intermediary form of Colon Bacilli which was found in the pus, nasal secretions and the blood. search of literature failed to find similar cases reported.
