精神運動発作を呈したIdiopathic brain stoneの1症例

A Case of Idiopathic Brain Stone presenting Psychomotor Epilepsy

I．はじめに

　いわゆるidiopathic brain stoneは非常に稀で現在までに5例の報告があるにすぎない．このうちテント上の3例ではてんかんを合併しており，epileptogenicfocusと成り得る．

　今回われわれは精神運動発作を呈した症例において，spike focusがほぼbrain stone周囲に一致し，brainstoneを含めtemporal lobectomyしたところ発作の消失が得られた稀な1例を経験したので文献的考察を加え報告する．

A rare case of idiopathic brain stone with psy-chomotor epilepsy is reported. On December 9, 1982, a 29-year-old man with 18 years' history of psychomotor epilepsy was admitted to our neuro-surgical service. He had no history of neonatal asphyxia, trauma or other neurological diseases.

No neurological deficit was disclosed. Skull x-ray films and plain CT scan demonstrated a calcified mass in the right temporal lobe. No contrast en-hancement was noted. Despite an extensive search, the etiology of the calcified mass was not revealed.
